Volunteer & Community Participation Program

Heading the Call:

A Unique Opportunity Awaits you in 2020.

Many of you have emailed, phoned, visited and asked to be a part of our new story here at Bodhi Khaya Retreat. We have listened to your requests and created a rather unique 0pportunity.

Fresh out of the oven of our imagination to make the wondrousness of Bodhi Khaya more accessible, we have sculpted a Volunteer and Community Participation Program.

Designed for those looking for a pause, a transition, an introduction to new possibilities, an exploration into themselves in the context of community and sacred work. Here is a brief description of what may lay ahead for you in 2020 (Please note that volunteer opportunities for 2019 have all been filled):

Our Work-Study Volunteer Program Offers:

An introductory apprenticeship in vegetarian cooking, hospitality, permaculture, community living, health and wellness, council gathering and story-telling, country living, sustainable living, and alternative energy. Including off-site community volunteering, comfortable single or shared accommodations and 3 vegetarian meals per day. All this is offered and held within the practice of meditation and mindfulness training. The program is a free and a stepping stone to residency at Bodhi Khaya and potential apprenticeship in the Born as the Earth Mentorship School .
