Yoga retreat

Bodhi Khaya offers an all inclusive space to hold your next retreat. Our helpful team is on hand to assist with everything from bookings, to marketing, to holding the space. Treat your participants to healthy, nourishing food and the gift of the vast, exquisite land and its uniquely wild nature.

Book out the entire retreat centre for an exclusive retreat, or host an intimate retreat of up to 10 people (on selected weekends and weekdays only).

Our Meditation and Movement Hall and magical Opa tent are the two main spaces for group work, teachings and facilitation, and the vast land is filled with some special spots to share together in nature.

Bodhi Khaya provides a easeful solution that allows facilitators to focus on their retreat content and experience, while we handle the all the details behind the scenes.

“We have loved being here and deeply appreciate the support of your community and the land” ~ IMISA Facilitator

Facilities

Meditation & Movement Hall

This Hall has been designed and built for a variety of retreats, workshops and conferences. The warmth and style is subtle enough to be adapted to different practices, yet bold enough to create a sense of home, safety and holding. Showers and toilets are housed within the hall as well as a mini kitchen to keep you hydrated and nourished during retreats. It also has a fire place that heats the whole room. The Hall has a very comfortably furnished porch that overlooks all wildlife.

Opa

“Love settles within the circle, embracing it and thereby lasting forever, turning within itself.” —Luther Standing Bear, Oglala Sioux

This is a large and beautiful circular space, Tipi style. Perfect for working with the sacred fire and sitting in ceremony, or for special events. The circle represents creation; the sun, the moon, the turning of the seasons, and the cycle of life to death to rebirth. We have created this space to honour the work of those who wish to sit in sacred circle.

Labyrinth

Bodhi Khaya's Labyrinth is exquisitely crafted in harmony with the floral eco-system, and incorporates fynbos, aloes and other indigenous plants within its rings.

It was built by Amber McIntyre and Jesse Jessup. Situated directly under the powerful mountain and surrounded by protective trees, this particular Labyrinth invites you to consciously connect with the earth and elements as you walk inwards to centre.

Hiking & Outdoors

Winding through 217 Hectares of Fynbos and Milkwood forests are 6 magical hiking trails. You can wander through an ancient forest and meditate under the old milkwood tree that’s been around for decades. Or follow the Farm Loop trail along the top of the farm for spectacular views of the valley and catch a glimpse of the ocean in the far distance. Discover meditation circles and ponds in secluded nooks in the forest. Gaze in wonder at the wild pincushions and proteas turning the hills orange in spring. Each trail has its own character, as it meanders through a different section of the farm.

Swimming

Swim lily pond

Beside the Meditation Hall and Labyrinth are two beautiful swimming dams. The first is a Lily dam where you can bathe in the beauty of the lilies. The second dam is a tranquil water hole that you may have to share with swallows at the end of a hot summer's day. Additionally, we also have a small salt-filter swimming pool accompanied by a kids wading pool. Perfect for moonshine and star gazing.

Dining hall & Tea stations

Nestled under stately trees, our historical dining hall comfortably seats up to 35 retreatants inside and another 20 or more in the surrounding gardens. We have several fully equipped tea stations in place. The perfect spot to refresh yourself and your participants with some tea, coffee or snacks.
