Food

'Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food' - Hippocrates

At Bodhi Khaya we believe food is central to health and well being. Our organic garden provides our vegetarian menu with delicious, fresh veggies every day. Wherever necessary, we supplement with the finest quality ingredients from local purveyors. We adapt our menu according to source and seasonality and are happy to accommodate a variety of dietary needs. We make our own immune boosting and detox teas and fermented medicines like kombucha, kimchi and sauerkraut to support your gut and overall health.

As a vegetarian and gluten-free kitchen, our goal is to deeply nourish our guests with wholesome, immune boosting meals. Our chef, Nicola Cunningham, uses minimal dairy and sugar. Following the principles of Ayurveda, Nicola promotes healing from within by feeding your body everything it truly needs to balance and harmonise itself into well-being.

Air & Water

Mountain Spring Water

Hidden in a valley within earshot of the Walker Bay, Bodhi Khaya enjoys fresh sea and mountain breezes all year round. The pure air rejuvenates your body and cleanses your lungs.

Water here is alive. It's fresh, clean and very, very tasty. From our own mountain spring, nothing is added and nothing taken away. Connected to our taps, all the water on the premises is perfectly drinkable. There is enough for you to swim, bathe, and cleanse. The water here nourishes our reforestation project and the growing oasis of birds, bugs, and wildlife. We recycle our water and through careful use we ask you to join us in appreciating the soul and source of life.
